Recently, Lenovo confirmed that it will be launching the highly anticipated Lenovo Legion gaming smartphone in July. However, the launch date of the device is still a mystery. Ahead of its official announcement, the Lenovo Legion gaming smartphone that has a model number of L79031 has surfaced on AnTuTu benchmarks with an impressive score of 648K+.

The AnTuTu listing confirms that the Lenovo Legion gaming phone is powered by the unannounced Snapdragon 865 Plus mobile platform. The same chipset is expected to power the rival phone ASUS ROG Phone 3 that is scheduled to go official on July 22. The listing reveals that the SD865+ comprises of 1 x 3.09GHz Kryo 585 Prime CPU, 3 x 2.42GHz Kryo 585 Gold and 4 x 1.8GHz Kryo 585 Silver CPU. The SoC also includes Adreno 650 graphics.

The SD865+ will be arriving as an enhanced edition of the SD865 SoC that fueled most of the Android flagship phones in the first half of 2020. In the CPU and GPU tests, the Lenovo gaming phone scored 187,401 and 246,980 benchmarking scores, respectively.

Lenovo Legion Gaming Phone AnTuTu

The Lenovo L79031 variant that appeared on AnTuTu has 16 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 512 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. It recorded 114,314 scores in the memory test of the benchmarking platform.

The Lenovo Legion gaming phone runs on Android 10. Rumors have it that it will be overlaid with gaming-grade Legion UI. It has a 1080 x 2340 pixels Full HD+ resolution supporting screen. The UX test of the handset suggests that the phone may support a 144Hz refresh rate. The Lenovo gaming phone scored 100,176 in the UX test. The average benchmarking score acquired by the Lenovo Legion gaming phone is 648,871 which is negligibly higher than ROG Phone 3’s 646,310 AnTuTu score.

Past reports have revealed that the Lenovo Legion gaming smartphone will come with a pair of USB-C ports, a side-facing 20-megapixel pop-up selfie camera, a 64-megapixel + 16-megapixel (ultrawide) dual-camera setup, in-display fingerprint reader, x-axis linear motor and dual speakers. The exact size of its battery is not known. Some speculations suggest that it could be equipped with a 4,000mAh battery. One of the most hyped features of the Lenovo Legion gaming phone is that it will arrive with support for 90W rapid charging.
