We already know that the Huawei Mate 40 series launch is around the corner but what we don’t know is the exact date. A tipster who has dished out reliable info thus far has now revealed that the Mate 40 will be launched on October 22. Apparently, this is the global launch while the launch in China will happen on October 30.

The tipster @RODENT950 on Twitter, apart from indicating that the models will launch in China on October 30, also gave a possible timeline on the device’s progress with pre-launch teasers tipped to start emerging on October 12. The models will go on presale in China on October 22. Sadly, it is still unclear when Mate 40’s global sales will commence. From all indications, most regions will have to wait until next year to get the Mate 40 series.

The tipster had earlier disclosed that the Mate 40 series will comprise of the Mate 40, Mate 40 Pro, Mate 40 Pro+ and Mate 40 Pro+ Porsche design variant. All the models will vary in their display sizes but will all be powered by the Hisilicon Kirin 9000 chipset built on TSMC’s 5nm node. As usual, we expect the Mate 40 series to feature a topnotch camera setup which should rank as the best around when launched. Expect the Mate 40’s camera to upset the current DXOMark camera ranking.

There is still no official word from Huawei about the launch but if these details are anything to go by, we should start seeing some pre-launch teasers from next week Monday.
