Xiaomi has been quite active when it comes to launching new products in the market. Even though the company has expanded its product category, the company hasn’t diverted from its area of focus — smartphones.

Continuing its spree of launching new smartphones, Xioami’s Redmi is now expected to launch the Redmi K40 series smartphones in the fourth quarter this year, i.e. by the end of December. Now, ahead of the phone’s official launch, the device may have surfaced online.

Xiaomi Redmi K40 Snapdragon 775G SoC

An unnamed Xiaomi smartphone carrying model number M2011K2C has been spotted in a certification process, which is believed to the Redmi K40 series phone. Interestingly, the device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset which is not yet announced.

If the previous reports are to be believed, then the smartphone in question will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 775G chipset. We expect the company to launch this new chipset along with the flagship Snapdragon 875 SoC in early December.

The Redmi K30 5G smartphone was the first one to be powered by the Snapdragon 765G SoC and we expect that the successor of that chipset will first power the successor of the Redmi K30 5G and could launch by the end of this year.

On the other hand, Xiaomi is also expected to be one of the first smartphone makers to launch devices powered by the flagship Snapdragon 875 SoC. Given that the Redmi K30 Pro was powered by the SD865 chipset, we expect the upcoming SD875 chipset to power the Redmi K40 Pro smartphone.
