Samsung launched the Galaxy M31 and the Galaxy M21 in India in early 2020. In the second half of the year, the company introduced the Galaxy M31 Prime Edition. As the name suggests, this version of the handset comes with Amazon apps and services. Interestingly, the Galaxy M21 did not get a similar variant last year. But it is set to release now; more than a year after the phone’s initial debut.
The upcoming Samsung Galaxy M21 Prime Edition has been spotted on multiple websites. This smartphone with model number SM-M215G is currently listed on the Samsung India website’s support page, Google Play Console, and BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards).
Unfortunately, these listings do not reveal anything about the handset. However, going by Galaxy M31 Prime Edition, we expect the Galaxy M21 Prime Edition to feature the exact same set of specs as the vanilla Galaxy M21 but with pre-loaded Amazon apps, a 3-month Amazon Prime subscription, and a slightly higher price tag.
Hence, the forthcoming Samsung phone should come with a 6.4-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display, Exynos 9611 SoC, 48MP (wide) + 8MP (ultra-wide) + 5MP (depth) triple camera setup, 20MP selfie camera, 3.5mm headphone jack, USB Type-C, rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, 6,000mAh battery, and 15W fast charging.
As of now, there’s no official word from either Samsung or Amazon regarding the launch of this smartphone in India.
