Samsung has been betting on foldable smartphones and is actively pushing this new form factor as it aims to make them mainstream. The company has two different types of foldable phone designs — Galaxy Z Fold series with a booklet-type fold mechanism and a Galaxy Z Flip series that has a clamshell-like fold mechanism.
With the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip series, the body becomes quite small when the device is folded, making it easier to place it in the pocket of jeans, which has been becoming difficult as the screen size keeps increasing.
Now, to celebrate this Galaxy Z Flip series phone, Samsung is collaborating with Australia-based Dr. Denim to sell a limited edition of “Z Flip Pocket Denim” jeans. The company is planning to sell only 450 units of the new jeans. It is priced at $1,499 and will also come with the Galaxy Z Flip 3 smartphone.
The Z Flip Pocket Denim jeans have a “Z” shape stitched over the traditional pockets. The back pockets have been removed to be “flipped” to the front of the jeans. They are also made to fit the exact dimensions of the folded Galaxy Z Flip 3 phone.
The jeans made in collaboration with Samsung and Dr. Denim come in versions for both men and women and are now available today through the Dr. Denim website.
