There is a folk from France that found a serious flaw in the MediaTek chipset smartphone, the phone will restart when receive the equation mark sign in the SMS.

When the MediaTek smartphone has receive SMS with “=” (equation sign without quotation marks), the phone will be reboot and shutdown automatically. While this is not too endanger for data secutoiry but this problem is cause the phone constantly reboot.

The other problem is also revealed when the user receive text message during call, the call will lead to dropped calls and this is very annoying.
