The ZTE A880 was a relatively popular device in the budget market and because of that it was inevitable that the company would come out with a new one. Today, design renders of that second-generation A880 have leaked.
The design of the A880-2 seems drastically different from the original. The new design features a more curved back as well as rounder corners and edges compared to the first generation A880 which was blockier. Based on the leaked renders, the A880-2 will also come in six bright colors instead of the conventional steel color of the original. Those colors include red, blue, yellow, orange, green, and pink.
Another noticeable addition to the new A880-2 is a round button-like object below the rear camera and LED flash. Reports say that it could be a fingerprint sensor due to the rising popularity of the technology. The blue touch keys on the front of the phone were still retained though.
While no other features or specifications of the A880-2 have been leaked, we speculate that they will be at least a slight upgrade from the original but will stay within the same price range as when the original was first released. There’s also the possibility that the A880-2 will come out in collaboration with China Telecom as was the case with the first one.
