A few days back, we had come across a leak which said that one of the variants of the upcoming Vivo X5Pro flagship could feature a massive 4150mAh battery. However, it looks like the Vivo X5Max S and not the X5Pro which is going to feature such a large battery. The device just hit TENAA revealing some interesting details.

The Vivo X5Max which was launched in the second half of 2014 was the company’s thinnest smartphone in the market. While the X5Max S is from the same lineup, it won’t be as thin as last year’s model. But the highlight of the phone is its large 4150mAh inside an extremely thin body.

TENAA reveals that the phone will feature this large battery in a body with thickness of just 7.29mm. This is definitely an impressive feat and could be the thinnest smartphone in the market right now with a battery larger than 4000mAh.

The overall design is consistent with the X5Max. So, you get the same metal body with a two color tone design. As for the specs, the phone will feature the same 5.5-inch full HD display but with MT6752 octa-core SoC and 2GB RAM. There will be 16GB of storage which is further expandable up to 128GB via MicroSD. There will be a 13MP camera at the back and a 5MP shooter up front. The phone will support 4G LTE networks (GSM, TD-SCDMA, TD-LTE), Beidou Navigation and dual SIM dual standby.

The company is expected to announce the X5Pro on May 13, and could unveil the X5Max S too at the same event. Stay tuned for more details.
