The Vivo X5 Pro was just officially released by the company earlier this week at simultaneous events in both Beijing and Guangzhou, China. Today, we get to unbox and take a look at Vivo’s latest flagship smartphone.

The briefcase is fairly large, giving a lot of room inside for the X5 Pro and all its accessories. According to Vivo, the X5 Pro will come in the same white box whether you purchase the black or white variant of the device. Opening the box will reveal the X5 Pro itself wrapper in protective plastic, a white Vivo headset packaged in its own hard plastic box, and a set of manuals and other paperwork. Other accessories that come with the X5 Pro include a USB cable for data transfer and charging, a USB power adapter for charging, a clear protective case, and the dual SIM card tray pin.

The right-hand side of the device features the power button and volume rocker while the left-hand side features the dual SIM card tray. The X5 Pro uses a single SIM card tray to hold both of the device’s SIM cards instead of using two separate trays. Additionally, the bottom of the device is where you’ll find USB port and speaker holes while the top of the X5 Pro is where the 3.5mm audio/headset port is found.

It runs Android 5.0 Lollipop with the company’s FunTouch OS 2.1 on top.

Looking at the rear of the device again, you’ll see its 13-megapixel rear camera with a 5-element lens protected by sapphire glass and supports Phase-detection Auto-focus (PDAF). On the other side, you’ll find the device’s 8-megapixel front-facing camera. The front-facing camera also facilitates the device’s innovative eye recognition technology for securing data and applications.
