Meizu has unveiled the Meizu M2 Note, which brings a lot of much needed upgrade to the existing Meizu M1 Note edition. Its hardly been six months since we saw the first model in the company&#8217;s Blue Charm series and within this short span, this will mark the third launch in the lineup.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/meizu-m2-note-01-.jpg?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-large wp-image-49624" src="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/meizu-m2-note-01--1024x615.jpg?x10805" alt="meizu m2 note 01" width="800" height="480" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/meizu-m2-note-01--1024x615.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/meizu-m2-note-01--300x180.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/meizu-m2-note-01--700x420.jpg 700w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/meizu-m2-note-01--640x384.jpg 640w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/meizu-m2-note-01--681x409.jpg 681w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/meizu-m2-note-01-.jpg 1043w" sizes="(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px" /></a></p>
<p>The Meizu M2 Note continues with the same unibody design as the existing version, but is now slightly thinner (by 0.2mm) and comes with a beautiful grey matte finish that we saw in the leaked pictures. The weight is slightly increased to 149 grams, but that&#8217;s should make much difference.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/meizu-m2-note-02.jpg?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-large wp-image-49623" src="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/meizu-m2-note-02-1024x511.jpg?x10805" alt="meizu m2 note 02" width="800" height="399" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/meizu-m2-note-02-1024x511.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/meizu-m2-note-02-300x150.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/meizu-m2-note-02-842x420.jpg 842w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/meizu-m2-note-02-640x319.jpg 640w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/meizu-m2-note-02-681x340.jpg 681w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/meizu-m2-note-02.jpg 1049w" sizes="(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px" /></a></p>
<p>The biggest change in the design is the new physical home button, just below the display. Its the same oval shaped button that we saw in the leaked images a few days back. The company adds that you can tap to return or press to go back to home. You also get the power button on the right side, instead of the top.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/meizu-m2-note-04.jpg?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-large wp-image-49621" src="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/meizu-m2-note-04-1024x593.jpg?x10805" alt="meizu m2 note 04" width="800" height="463" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/meizu-m2-note-04-1024x593.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/meizu-m2-note-04-300x174.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/meizu-m2-note-04-726x420.jpg 726w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/meizu-m2-note-04-640x370.jpg 640w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/meizu-m2-note-04-681x394.jpg 681w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/meizu-m2-note-04.jpg 1052w" sizes="(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px" /></a></p>
<p>What&#8217;s more, in the specs front too, Meizu has made some interesting changes on the new device. It comes with the MT6753 octa-core chip clocked at 1.3GHz along with 2GB RAM and Mali-T720 GPU. You get the same 5.5-inch full HD 1080p screen with IGZO display technology (low power consuming tech) on the device. This translates into an impressive pixel density of 403 ppi. The interal storage remains at 16GB but you can now expand it up to 128GB via MicroSD. This was a well needed upgrade for the device.</p>

<p><a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/meizu-m2-note-05.jpg?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-large wp-image-49620" src="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/meizu-m2-note-05-1024x530.jpg?x10805" alt="meizu m2 note 05" width="800" height="414" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/meizu-m2-note-05-1024x530.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/meizu-m2-note-05-300x155.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/meizu-m2-note-05-811x420.jpg 811w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/meizu-m2-note-05-640x331.jpg 640w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/meizu-m2-note-05-681x353.jpg 681w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/meizu-m2-note-05.jpg 1060w" sizes="(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px" /></a></p>
<p>The phone supports both TD-LTE and FDD-LTE, translating into support for 5 network types across 13 frequencies. It supports dual SIM dual Standby and dual 4G. There will be the same 13MP camera at the back, but an improved ISP should ensure better camera performance. The front camera remains the same as the existing M1 Note, i.e. 5MP with beauty mode. The Meizu M2 Note comes with a 3100mAh battery supplied by Sony. It will run on the Android 5.0 based Flyme 4.5 UI.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/meizu-m2-note-03.jpg?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-49622" src="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/meizu-m2-note-03.jpg?x10805" alt="meizu m2 note 03" width="598" height="666" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/meizu-m2-note-03.jpg 598w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/meizu-m2-note-03-269x300.jpg 269w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/meizu-m2-note-03-377x420.jpg 377w" sizes="(max-width: 598px) 100vw, 598px" /></a></p>
<p>Now, you must be wondering with a few changes in the device, the Meizu M2 Note will cost more than the M1 Note. However, the company has managed to surprise everyone by pricing it lower than the MT6752 powered M1 Note.</p>
<p>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LIWcPILjUt8</p>
<p>So, the China Unicom and China Mobile editions of the device will start at 799 Yuan ($128.85) for the 16GB model while the 32GB one will cost 999 Yuan ($161).</p>
