Trying to buy smartphones and other gadgets from online stores is always a bit of a risk. There’s the danger of the store being a scam, the possibility of being sent the wrong product, or the issue of after-sales service reliability. Especially if the online store we’re purchasing from and the gadgets we’re trying to buy are based in another country, specifically China.
So the folks at Comebuy.com have started a new service that helps customers deal with the risks of online shopping by giving them safer options for payment via their new O2O program (Online to Offline) that supports two payment methods – Cash on Delivery and Self Pick-up. The former option lets buyers either pay once their item has been delivered while the latter allows them to go to a local physical store to pick-up and pay for the item themselves.
Comebuy.com has partnered with several retail stores in Europe to make this new program possible and will initially make it available in both Italy and Spain soon. Now shopping online for that affordable Chinese smartphone is going to be a lot safer and even more convenient.
