Last month, Lenovo unveiled its new sub-brand ZUK which will produce new smartphones for different markets. Today, the new company has released a few details on its first smartphone model – the ZUK Z1.
According to ZUK, the ZUK Z1 will feature dual SIM dual standby support, full network support, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, and a battery with a capacity of at least 4000mAh. The Z1 will also come with a 13-megapixel rear camera and Android 5.1.1.
Lastly, ZUK showed off the Z1’s exclusive home button fingerprint sensor which the company calls the U-Touch. The U-Touch is not only capable of basic home button and fingerprint sensor functions akin to similar smartphones but it’s also capable of extra functions by holding or sliding one’s finger left or right on the button.
The rest of the ZUK Z1’s specifications as well as its price and release date were not revealed but the new device is expected to be released in September while its price is expected to be affordable. Additionally, the company plans to have an open beta for the new device for developers sometime in July or August.
