It looks like fingerprint sensors have started to become the norm in mid-range to high-end smartphones as even Oukitel has joined the fingerprint sensor game with the announcement of their new Oukitel U10 smartphone.
The Oukitel U10 features a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor similar to the one found on the Huawei Mate 7 as well as a full metal body that measures only 7.9mm thin and looks like a mix of the Huawei Mate 7 and the iPhone 6. The rest of the U10’s body measures 154×76.9mm.
It also features a 5.5-inch JDI Full HD OGS screen with a display resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, a MediaTek MT6753 64-bit 1.3GHz octa-core processor, a Mali-T760 GPU, 3GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, and a 2850mAh Li-Po battery that supports quick charging.
The U10 is also equipped with a 13-megapixel rear camera with a Samsung 3M2 sensor and coupled with a dual-LED flash, a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, dual SIM dual standby support, a hybrid SIM card tray that can also support microSD cards, and is powered by Android 5.1 Lollipop.
The Oukitel U10 will be available in either White+Gold or Black+Space Grey at a very competitive price of only $160. The company did not mention when exactly the new device will start becoming available but it is safe to assume that it will be available for purchase very soon.
