Elephone P8000 Shipping Soon, Kernel Published

The Elephone P8000, which started pre-orders last May, is already set for shipping according to a photo published by the company. It’s been previously reported that pre-orders will begin shipping by the end of the month.
The published photo shows a large amount of boxes presumably storing hundreds of P8000 units within them. The P8000, as previously mentioned, has been available for pre-order since May at several online stores including GearBest and Geekbuying for $169.99.
Additionally, the latest kernel for the Elephone P8000 has also been published today by the company which gives developers and programmers a chance to create custom firmware, mods, and other software for the new device.
The Elephone P8000 features a 5.5-inch 1080p full HD IPS display, a rear-mounted Touch ID fingerprint sensor, a MediaTek MTK6753 1.5GHz 64-bit octa-core processor, 3GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, expandable storage support up to 64GB via microSD, and a 4,160mAh battery.
It’s also equipped with a 13-megapixel Sony IMX214 rear camera with LED flash, a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, dual SIM standby support. It also supports 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi 802.11b/g/n, and GPS connectivity. It runs Google’s latest Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system.
