OnePlus 2 leaks out in full, images revealed, hints at laser autofocus

OnePlus has been pretty decent at keeping the next smartphone under cover, but a new leak has just shown off the design in full for the first time ever.

A Chinese regulator spoiled the one-tease-at-a-time method OnePlus was using to lead up to the phone’s July 27 launch. Chinese wireless regulator Tenaa has dropped the images showing off the One Plus 2 from all angles & proves there will be a fingerprint reader just below the screen.

The camera sensor had some work and has been moved down the back of the phone. Design wise, it looks to have the same multi-material back as before, and there’s a hint that there might be some metal frame around the outside.

On the front is what appears to be a Samsung-style physical home button below its screen. This is probably where its fingerprint sensor will be housed. These images looked almost fake to us at first, but they are indeed posted on the TENAA website.

So, i think they’re probably representative of the final design. Courtesy of the previous announcements, we already know the phone will have a Snapdragon 810 chip, 4GB of RAM, dual-SIMs & 3,300mAh battery and use the USB Type-C connector. As for price is concerned, CEO Pete Lau says it will be under $450.

OnePlus made an announcement stating that its new OnePlus 2 smartphone will get a ‘new and improved’ invite system. The company said on the blog that, “some people thought it was too difficult and time consuming to obtain an invite or thought it was all some big marketing stunt.”

So far there’s no official word on price but the official launch is coming on July 27 – not long to go now. So, stick around.
