ZTE Blade S6 has been rumored for getting iris scanner update. Now, the ZTE Blade S6 has received an update today that adds iris scanning capabilities to the phone.

A new feature called Sky Eye, which was not available for the phone out of the box, is the main reason for the 25.40MB update. It allows you to use your retina to unlock the device by way of eye movement.

ZTE recommends you to clean out the cache memory on the phone before installing the update, or else the feature will not install properly. Iris recognition has now become a security alternative for users who don’t want to enter a PIN number or passcodes to access their device and prevent other prying eyes from having the same access.

ZTE suggests that you be on a Wi-Fi connection instead of 3G/4G/LTE data & have your battery charged to at least 30% before starting the updating process.

If you want to enjoy this updated feature, then go ahead and install the new update. While we haven’t seen any directions on how this Sky Eye works, but we can imagine that the front-facing camera is used for the feature.

Just try this new feature on your mobile and do tell us about your experience.
