It seems the going trend in flagship smartphones has been the usage of 13-megapixel cameras. Even the recently released OnePlus 2 is equipped with a 13-megapixel rear camera. This might be because many companies think that 13-megapixels is adequate for a flagship smartphone camera but it looks like UMI thinks otherwise as the company has teased that its upcoming UMI Zero 2 will feature a 20-megapixel camera.
The company did not give any other specifics regarding the sensor of the UMI Zero 2 but since last year’s original UMI Zero featured a Sony IMX214 the upcoming Zero 2 might also come with a Sony sensor. The company also revealed that the UMI ZERO 2 may also feature a front LED flash similar to the one found on the company’s UMI Iron. The front LED flash will be coupled with the ZERO 2’s 8-megapixel front-facing camera making it a very capable camera on its own.
The UMI Zero 2’s other specificaitons include a dual-display design which includes a 5.2-inch front main display with a 2.5D curved glass panel and a rear e-ink display similar to the one found on the Siswoo Darkmoon. Additionally, the main display on the Zero 2 is expected to feature a 1080p Super AMOLED panel. The rest of the Zero 2’s specifications have yet to be revealed but since UMI has a habit of teasing their device’s specifications before release it shouldn’t be too long until we find those out.
