It looks like Xiaomi is planning to officially unveil the next version of its Android-based operating system MIUI 7 tomorrow, according to a post by the company on Chinese social media site Weibo.
Screenshots of the new MIUI 7 started leaking online earlier today revealing an interface that looked largely similar to MIUI 6 with only a few noticeable graphical changes. Soon after the reports started coming out, Xiaomi posted an image on their MIUI Weibo account showing what looks like a Mi Note 4 running the new MIUI 7 operating system. The screen shows the Calendar app open with tomorrow’s date highlighted. The image was then caption with the time of 10:00AM and a “7” teasing at a morning release of the new operating system.
While the company did not reveal any information on what new changes or updates the new version of the operating system will bring, we’re excited to see what Xiaomi has in store for its users as MIUI is known to be one of the better or more popular Android-based operating systems. Hopefully MIUI 7 will be a major update to the software that brings in completely new features but we’ll have to wait for tomorrow to find out.
