Sony Mobiles announced the selfie phone Xperia C5 Ultra earlier this week, and there was no word on its pricing and the exact launch date. Now, the device is listed on the company’s Hong Kong website, revealing a HK$ 3,298 ($425) price tag for an unlocked device, dual-SIM unit as well as a release date of August 14.
The Sony Xperia C5 Ultra sports a bezel-less screen, Full-HD 6-inch display with a resolution of 1,920×1,080 pixels. It is powered by a 1.7 GHz octa-core 64 bit MediaTek (MTK6752) processor, the phone powers 2 GB of RAM, 4G network connectivity, an aluminum frame body & a battery of 2930mAh that Sony claims can run for two days on a single charge.
The Sony Xperia C5 Ultra runs Android Lollipop and features a 13MP camera shooter both in front and at the back with LED flashes and here I have to mention that the C5 Ultra is not water-resistant like M5.
It has 16 GB of expandable storage space with micro SD card slot. The device will be launching in other countries shortly this year so it’s unlikely that it will make its way in the US.
