Earlier today, ZUK, Lenovo’s smartphone sub-brand, unveiled its first flagship device, the Z1, and now the first real photos of the new device have been published online.
The ZUK Z1 features a design which combines elements from different popular smartphones including the iPhone 6 Plus. It features a metal frame, a glass front panel, and a glossy plastic rear panel. It measures 155.7 × 77.3 × 8.9mm and weighs only 175g.
The front of the device features the device’s rectangular Home key which also acts as the device’s fingerprint sensor equipped with the company’s U-Touch technology that allows the key to perform a number of functions. The front of the device also features the device’s 5.5-inch full HD 1080p IPS display, ear piece, and 8-megapixel front-facing camera.
The rear of the device features the device’s glossy plastic back cover which, in the future, will be replaceable with other back covers made from different materials similar to the ones found on the OnePlus 2, DOOGEE F3, and Moto X. The rear of the Z1 also features the device’s 13-megapixel rear camera, dual LED flash, and the company’s logo.
The top of the device is where the 3.5mm audio port is found while the bottom of the device features the Z1’s microphone, speaker, and its USB Type-C port. Lastly, the sides of the device are equipped with the SIM card tray on the left-hand side as well as the power/sleep button and volume rocker on the right-hand side.
The rest of the device’s features include a 2.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor, 3GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage, a 4100mAh battery. It also supports 4G LTE connectivity and dual SIM dual standby. It will run Google’s Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system with the company’s own ZUI skin on top.
As announced, the ZUK Z1 will be priced at only 1799 Yuan which is a very competitive price for a flagship device.
