It’s been a long time since Coolpad and Qihoo 360 started their joint smartphone company QiKU and it looks like they will finally unveil their first flagship smartphone as the company has announced a conference in Beijing on August 26.
While the name of the device has yet to be unveiled, its specs were already leaked previously. According to those leaks, the QiKU flagship will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 MSM8992 hexa-core processor with an Adreno 418 GPU, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, 13-megapixel rear camera, an 8-megapixeil front-facing camera, and Android 5.1.1.
While the device is said to feature a 1080p full HD display, the actual size of the display is still unknown along with the size of its battery. We’ll have to wait for the conference next week to find those out unless a new leak occurs. Additionally, along with its specifications, the device’s AnTuTu benchmark score was also leaked showing a score of 50937 which is quite impressive in spite of its Snadragon 808 processor.
The upcoming device is expected to be priced at around 3999 Yuan and will be targeted towards the high-end market. Other than its specifications, we wonder what QiKU will have to offer to make its first smartphone stand out against the rest of this year’s flagships.
