It looks like ZTE is also working on a device that features a pressure-sensitive touch display similar to the one found on the upcoming Huawei Mate S.
According to leaked images and information from TENAA, the new device is called the ZTE Axon Mini. The images show a device that looks very much like the original ZTE Axon with the front of the device featuring barely bezels at the sides as well as the top and bottom of the display. The rear is also mostly the same as the original Axon. The Axon Mini gets rid of the dual lens system found on the original Axon and replaces one of the cameras with a dual LED flash.
The details leaked from TENAA show the ZTE Axon Mini with a model number of ZTE B2015 and that it will feature a 5.2-inch 1080p full HD OLED display with Pressure Screen technology, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 1.5GHz octa-core processor, 3GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, a 2800mAh battery, a 13-megapixel rear camera, an 8-megapixel front-facing camera, Android 5.1, full-range 4G LTE connectivity, and dual HiFi speakers.
The ZTE Axon Mini was originally supposed to be unveiled back in July, it was even given the slogan “The World’s First Pressure-Sensitive Phone”, but was delayed for unknown reasons. This time it’s reported that the device will be officially released in September and will be available in multiple colors including gold, gray, orange, pink, and more. The official price of the ZTE Axon Mini has yet to be revealed though.
