Archos probably isn’t the first company you’d actually think of while shopping for a new smartphone, but the French firm is hoping its new Diamond S mobile will tempt shoppers to spend their money for something good.
Archos has a new device this week, set to be shown off during next month’s IFA trade show, called the Diamond S, this good looking smartphone features a 5″ Super AMOLED HD display and ofcourse well-designed stylings, priced at affordable £159.99. When converted to US dollars, that is almost $250.
There’s no word of details on a worldwide release yet, but that price equates to $251 or AU$350. From specs point of view, the Diamond S has an octa-core MediaTek MT6753 processor clocked at 1.5GHz and backed up by a 2GB of RAM. It runs Android 5.1 Lollipop on the board. On the glass-like back, the Diamond S has a 16 MP camera, while on the front you’ll find an 8 MP selfie shooter.
The phone packs 4G LTE and dual SIM support. It is powered with a 2300 mAh battery. It has 16GB of in-built storage, which can be beefed up using a microSD card slot. So, budget-friendly device fans can rejoice!
Archos has also announced its first Windows 10 Mobile-based smartphones. Well, all three new Archos smartphones will be showcased in early September at IFA 2015.
