Coolpad has been quite busy this year, releasing several devices under its own brand as well as under its sub-brands. It also launched a new brand in partnership with Qihoo 360. Now it looks like the company is set to launch the next generation of its Tiptop smartphone, the Tiptop 2, and the specifications of the company’s upcoming device have been leaked online today.
According to the leak, the Coolpad Tiptop 2 will feature a 5.5-inch 1080p full HD display, a MediaTek MTK6795 octa-core processor, 2GB of RAM, either 16GB or 32GB of storage, a USB Type-C connector, and a 13-megapixel rear camera. The device’s battery, front-facing camera, connectivity support, and other specifications weren’t included in the leak.
Previous leaks have revealed that the Tiptop 2 will feature a slim body and a narrow bezel similar to the original Tiptop as well as a full metal body and a rear-mounted finger-print sensor.
While the launch date of the Tiptop 2 is still unknown it looks like the company will still follow the same pricing scheme of the original Tiptop as the Tiptop 2 is said to be priced at no more than 2,000 Yuan with an expected price of around 1,500 Yuan.
