Huawei has officially announced that its Android Wear-based smartwatch that it originally unveiled last February is finally available for pre-order today and is scheduled to start shipping on September 17.
The Huawei Watch can be pre-ordered through Huawei’s website as well as through online stores like Amazon with prices starting at $349.99 for the Stainless Steel watch with a Black Leather Strap and going all the way up to $799.99 for the Rose Gold Plated watch with a Rose Gold Plated Link Band.
In total, there are seven variants of the Huawei Watch which include the two models mentioned above as well as a Stainless Steel watch with a Stainless Steel Link band and a Stainless Steel watch with a Stainless Steel Mesh Strap both priced at $399.99, a Black Stainless Steel Watch with a Black Stainless Steel Link Band priced at $449.99, and the Rose Gold watch with Brown Leather Strap which is priced at $699.99.
The Huawei Watch features a 1.4-inch full circle AMOLED display protected by scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, compatibility with iOS 8.2 and Android 4.3, a heart rate tracker, as well as sensors for tracking running, walking, and more. Huawei also promised up to two days of battery life for the Huawei Watch.
The Huawei Watch is probably the most traditionally-designed smartwatch that has come out so far with many of its competitors attempting to create more modern and unique designs for their smartwatches.
