It looks like Meizu is already working on a new flagship smartphone according to an entry found on the GeekBench database.
The unknown device is codenamed the Meizu NIUX but according to previous leaks and reports this device is probably the upcoming Meizu Pro 5. The database entry, which was uploaded on September 11, 2015, reveals that the Meizu Pro 5 features an Exynos 7420 octa-core processor, 4GB of RAM, and runs Android 5.1 Lollipop, which is very similar to the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 or S6 Edge.
The database entry also shows that the Meizu Pro 5 was able to achieve a single-core benchmark score of 1550 and a multi-core benchmark score of 5593 which is one of the highest scores of any smartphone on the market at the moment and is slightly higher than the scores of the Galaxy Note 5.
Not much else was revealed about the Pro 5 other than what was mentioned above so we’ll have to wait for more leaks or some official announcement from Meizu to find out more about their upcoming flagship smartphone.
