The folks at OUKITEL have decided to show off their recently released K4000 in an unusual way – by putting a power drill to it and see how long it survives.
During the test, the K4000 lasted for more than one minute before the drill went through the glass panel and lasted more than three minutes before the drill finally got through the display and motherboard and into the battery. Once the drill got through into the battery, the device started smoking but did not explode in spite of the high temperature of the drill bit. Overall, the device lasted quite awhile and for comparison, when the iPhone 6 was put through the same test it lasted only 4 seconds.
While this test is unusual, it shows how durable the display and glass on the K4000 is. It also shows how safe the device’s battery is.
As for its specifications, the K4000 features a 5-inch 720p HD display protected by a panel of 2.5D arc glass, a MediaTek MT6735p quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, a 13-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel front-facing camera, 4G LTE connectivity, and dual SIM dual standby spport.
The OUKITEL K4000 is currently available for pre-sale through select online retailers for only $119 which includes a free protective case during the initial pre-sale period.
