The MediaTek Helio P10, which will be more commonly known as the MT6755, is the company’s upcoming second generation mid-range octa-core SoC that’s expected to be released sometime near the last quarter of the year. And today GPU, benchmark results of the new processor have been leaked online.
The MT6755 features a CPU with eight Cortex-A53 cores that are clocked up to 2GHz which, according to the leaked benchmark results, is coupled with a Mali T860 MP2 GPU. According to the results the Mali T860 MP2 GPU on the MT6755 performed 20% better than its predecessor the MT6752 which features a Mali T760MP2 GPU. The newer GPU also consumed 70% less energy than its predecessor in the same tests.
The new MT6755 SoCs will also feature support for up to 1080p displays, 21-megapixel rear or 16-megapixel + 8-megapixel dual camera systems, and LTE Cat.6 connectivity with support for SRLTE.
As previously mentioned, the Helio P10/MT6755 is expected to be officially released sometime near the start of the fourth quarter of the year so we should be expecting devices to feature the new processor sometime in early 2016.
