It looks like those anxiously waiting for the supposed release of the Meizu Pro 5 flagship smartphone later this month will have to wait a little longer as the device has been delayed due to a flood at one of the company’s manufacturing facility in Guangdong, China.
According to the announcement made by Meizu representatives, a recent powerful storm in Guangdong caused flooding in the facility in question which was in charge of manufacturing the Meizu Pro 5’s unibody chassis and has delayed the device by at least one month.
The company did not mentioned if the manufacturing of any of its other devices, like the Meizu MX5, were affected by factory flooding as well.
The Meizu Pro 5 is the company’s latest flagship which was originally unveiled back in September and was originally scheduled for an October 12 release. Customers will now have to wait for the device to be released sometime in November.
The Meizu Pro 5 features a 5.7-inch full HD 1080p AMOLED display, a body similar to the MX5, a Samsung Exynos 7420 processor, either 3GB or 4GB of RAM, either 32GB or 64GB of internal storage, a 3050mAh battery, a 21-megapixel rear camera, and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.
