It looks like LeTV is ready to launch the next generation of its 1S (X600) budget smartphone and the new device might be called the LeTV 2 if the poster the company released today is any indication.
The poster indicates that the company has scheduled its press conference for October 27 at the Beijing MasterCard Center. The poster also has the word “Apple” on it with the “LE” highlighted in red as well as a large “2”. It looks like the company is again taking hits at Apple which the company has done in the past.
The specifications of the LeTV 2 or the X500 was previously leaked online via an AnTuTu Benchmark database listing. According to the listing, the X500 will feature a 5.5-inch full HD 1080p display, a MediaTek Helio X10 (MT6795) clocked at 2.0GHz, a PowerVR Rogue G6200 graphics chip, 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of internal storage.
The listing also shows that the X500 will be equipped with a 13-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, and will run Android 5.0.2 Lollipop. It’s also rumored that the X500 will also feature a fingerprint sensor. Lastly, the AnTuTu Benchmark listing shows that the X500 scored a 45,000 which is a pretty good score.
If the LeTV 2 (X500) is priced similarly to the 1S (X600) then it will be a very impressive budget smartphone. We’ll just have to wait for the official launch on October 27.
