After launching the OPPO R7 and R7 Plus, the company has launched another variant of their R7 flagship called the R7s.
The OPPO R7s is positioned in the middle of the original R7 and the R7 Plus with its 5.5-inch full HD 1080p AMOLED display (the R7’s screen measures 5 inches and the R7 Plus’s measures 6 inches), 3070mAh battery (the R7 features a 2320mAh battery while the R7 Plus has a 4100mAh battery). The R7s also measures 151.8×75.4×6.9mm and weighs 156 grams which is also in the middle of the original R7 (143x71x6.3mm and 148 grams) and R7 Plus (158×82.3×7.75mm and 195 grams).
The rest of the devices specifications are mostly the same including the Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 MSM8939 1.5GHz octa-core processor, Adreno 405 graphics chip, 32GB of internal storage (the original R7 has only 16GB of RAM), expandable storage support up to 128GB, 13-megapixel f/2.2 rear camera, and 8-megapixel f/2.4 front-facing camera. All three device also support OPPO’s VOOC fast charging technology.
The R7s does surpass the R7 and R7 Plus when it comes to RAM as the R7s will be available with either 3GB or 4GB of RAM while the original R7 and R7 Plus are only available with 3GB of RAM. The R7s also comes with a more updated Color OS 2.1 operating system as it is based on Android 5.1.1 while the software on the R7 and R7 Plus are based on Android 4.4 and Android 5.0, respectively.
The OPPO R7s will be priced at 2599 Yuan for the 3GB variant while the 4GB variant will be priced at 2599 Yuan for the China Mobile version and 2799 Yuan for the open network version.
