Elephone’s upcoming Vowney flagship smartphone is one of the most anticipated devices of the year and the company has announced that they are in the last stages of testing the Vowney’s software and will be putting the new device on pre-sale soon.
The Vowney runs on Android’s latest 5.1 Lollipop operating system and comes with the company’s suite of additional software-based features including a multi-function home button and a Press Touch ID rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. Once the company has finalized the Vowney’s software, they will put the new device on pre-sale according to schedule on October 26 and will end on November 20, 2015. The Vowney is expected to ship on the day the pre-sale ends.
The rest of the Vowney’s features include a 5.5-inch 2K resolution (2560 x 1440) display with a pixel density of 535ppi, a color saturation of 95% NTSC, and LTPS technology which increases brightness and contrast by 15% and reduces power consumption by the same amount. It also features a Helio X10 (MT6795) 1.9GHz 64-bit octa-core processor, a Power VR G6200 graphics chip, 4GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, and a 4000mAh battery.
The Vowney is also equipped with a 21-megapixel Sony IMX320 rear camera, an 8-megapixel front-facing camera, a dual SIM slot with dual standby support, FDD/TDD 4G LTE connectivity, and support for expandable storage up to 128GB via microSD card.
