Huawei is expected to officially unveil their next-generation Mate 8 flagship tomorrow but details of the new device have already leaked online and confirms previous rumors on its specifications.
According to the leak, the Mate 8 will feature a 6-inch full HD 1080 display, a Kirin 950 octa-core processor, a Mali T-880 graphics chip, a 16-megapixel rear camera, an 8-megapixel front-facing camera, a 4000mAh battery, and Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
A previous report also revealed that Huawei has used a new graphene battery on the Mate 8 which features an energy density of at least 620Wh/L. The new battery is said to be able to charge up to 48% in only 5 minutes and give an estimated call time of 10 hours.
As for its appearance, leaked renders of the Mate 8 shows that it looks like an enlarged version of the Mate S but with circle-shaped camera and fingerprint sensor instead of square ones. It will come in several colors including gold, grey, and copper.
It was also revealed that the Mate 8 will come in two variants with different RAM and storage configurations. There will be a 3GB RAM + 32GB storage variant which will be priced at 3499 Yuan and a 4GB + 64GB storage variant priced at 3899 Yuan.
