The X2i is No.1’s latest rugged smartphone. An updated version of the X2 that was released back in the beginning of the year, the X2i brings with it several upgrades to its features and specifications including more RAM, a new processor, and a new operating system, all of which the company shows off in a new video.
The video first shows off the X2i’s rugged design including its rubberized body and metal frame as well as a short unboxing of the X2i. The video then shows off the X2i’s 5.5-inch 720p resolution display and its video playback capability and quality.
The X2i is then submerged in water while a video is played back to showcase the device’s IP68 rating which includes waterproofing, dustproofing, and scratch/shockproof. It’s even placed under a small waterfall in a running stream to further show off its resistance to water.
After showing off its waterproofing, the company then buries the X2i in soil to show how dustproof it is and finally dropped from a height onto hard cement to show off how durable it is, all the while continuing its video playback.
The company then shows off the X2i’s 13-megapixel rear camera which the company claims uses the same technology as the camera on the iPhone.
The rest of the X2i’s features and specifications include its 2GB of RAM, its new MediaTek MTK6735 64-bit 1.3GHz quad-core processor, 16GB of internal storage, 4G LTE connectivity, 5-megapixel front-facing camera, 3000mAh battery, and Android 5.1 Lollipop.
No.1 has yet to announce the official release date of the X2i but we assume that it will be released before the year ends.
