LeTV Max-70 6.9-inch Smartphone Spotted on GFXBench Database

It looks like LeTV is working on a new tablet-sized smartphone called the Max-70 if an entry on the GFXBench benchmark database is to be believed.

letv-max70-gfxbench-spotted-01According to the database entry, the Max-70 features an almost tablet-sized 6.9-inch display with a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels giving it a pixel density of around 319ppi. It also features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 1.7GHz octa-core processor paired with an Adreno 430 graphics chip, quite a lot of RAM at 4GB, and 64GB of internal storage. Notably, the device is running Android 5.0.2 in the benchmark but it should be assumed that it will come with a more updated version of Android when it comes out.

We’re not sure where LeTV plans to position the Max-70 given that it has a humongous display but only has a 1080p display instead of a more suitable 2K or 4K resolution display so the company might be trying to target people who really just want a really large-screened smartphone without minding the lower resolution. The rest of the device’s specifications are pretty high-end so it definitely won’t be a budget device.

We’ll have to wait for the device to show up on TENAA which is where it would probably be headed to next to find out the rest of its specifications, features, and find out what the device actually looks like.
