The Cubot S550 comes with MT6735 quad-core processor with 2GB RAM and 16GB of ROM. The storage is further expandable via MicroSD slot. There’s a large 5.5-inch 720p display which translates into a decent pixel density of 320 ppi. At the back there is a 13MP camera sensor with LED flash, while up front, there’s an 8MP shooter. Both these cameras are interpolated. You will also find a fingerprint sensor at the back.

As for the software, the phone comes with Android 5.1 Lollipop OS out of the box. There’s a large 3000mAh battery on board, which is quite enough for a day’s long of usage. Its also good to see that the company managed to put in such a large battery inside a 7mm thin body. The phone supports 4G LTE networks and supports dual SIM dual standby.

Overall, the phone looks like a great addition to the existing lineup of cheap good looking smartphones from the company. We still don’t know the pricing or release details of the device, but we will keep you guys updated with that information in the coming days.
