<p>Now, Xiaomi Mi 5 has been spotted on the benchmarking website, Geekbench, yet again, sporting similar configuration as before. So, the phone comes with 3GB of RAM with Snapdragon 820 chipset inside. The processor was already <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/2016/01/05/xiaomi-mi-5-confirmed-feature-snapdragon-820-will-available-plenty-spring-festival/">confirmed by one of the co-founders</a> of the company earlier this month, so no surprises here.</p>
<figure id="attachment_70124" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-70124" style="width: 787px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/xiaomi-mi-5-geekbench-old.png?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-70124" src="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/xiaomi-mi-5-geekbench-old.png?x10805" alt="[OLD] Mi 5 On Geekbench - 24 DEC 2015" width="787" height="615" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/xiaomi-mi-5-geekbench-old.png 787w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/xiaomi-mi-5-geekbench-old-300x234.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/xiaomi-mi-5-geekbench-old-600x469.png 600w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/xiaomi-mi-5-geekbench-old-537x420.png 537w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/xiaomi-mi-5-geekbench-old-640x500.png 640w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/xiaomi-mi-5-geekbench-old-681x532.png 681w" sizes="(max-width: 787px) 100vw, 787px" /></a><figcaption id="caption-attachment-70124" class="wp-caption-text">[OLD] Mi 5 On Geekbench &#8211; 24 DEC 2015</figcaption></figure>As for the scores, they are similar to what we have seen in the past. This is the version that comes with Snapdragon 820 clocked at <strong>1.59GHz</strong>, instead of 1.36GHz as seen last month. So, the scores are a bit higher than before. The device managed to score <strong>2182 in the single-core</strong> test and <strong>4892 in the multi-core</strong> test. While <strong>anything above 2000 points in the single-core test</strong> is considered impressive, with just four cores on board, the multi-core score is not at par with rivals such as the Exynos 8890 and the Helio X20. These rival chipsets have<a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/2015/09/09/samsung-lucky-lte-model-visits-geekbench-with-exynos-8890-beats-exynos-7420-in-all-tests/"> scores more than 6500 points in the same test</a>.</p>
<figure id="attachment_70125" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-70125" style="width: 786px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/Xiaomi-Gemini-Geekbench-01.png?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-70125" src="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/Xiaomi-Gemini-Geekbench-01.png?x10805" alt="Xiaomi Gemini on Geekbench - 17 Jan 2016" width="786" height="623" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/Xiaomi-Gemini-Geekbench-01.png 786w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/Xiaomi-Gemini-Geekbench-01-300x238.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/Xiaomi-Gemini-Geekbench-01-600x476.png 600w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/Xiaomi-Gemini-Geekbench-01-530x420.png 530w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/Xiaomi-Gemini-Geekbench-01-640x507.png 640w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/Xiaomi-Gemini-Geekbench-01-681x540.png 681w" sizes="(max-width: 786px) 100vw, 786px" /></a><figcaption id="caption-attachment-70125" class="wp-caption-text">Xiaomi Gemini on Geekbench &#8211; 17 Jan 2016</figcaption></figure>
<p>Along with the device named Xiaomi Mi 5, another Xiaomi device was also spotted on Geekbench yesterday. It was the same Xiaomi Gemini handset, sporting similar configuration as the Mi 5, but with slightly better scores. the Gemini handset scored, <strong>2215 in the single-core </strong>and<strong> 5096 in the multi-core test</strong>.</p>
<p>With just 3GB of RAM on board, the Xiaomi Mi 5 that we spotted today seems to be the low-end variant of the flagship model. The higher-end model with 4GB of RAM is expected to post better scores.</p>
<p>According to<a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/2016/01/11/the-xiaomi-mi-5-will-come-in-two-variants/"> recent rumors,</a> the Mi 5 will come in two variants. The low-end variant will feature 2.5D glass body on both the sides with a metal frame and a 5-inch 1080p display while the high-end version will come with an all metal body and a 5-inch 2K display.</p>
