Chinese manufacturer ZOPO is in attendance at the 2016 Mobile World Congress this week and at its booth the company is showcasing its latest smartphone, the Speed 8, which is the first device to utilize MediaTek’s latest Helio X20 chipset.
As previously mentioned, the ZOPO Speed 8 is the first smartphone to feature the Helio X20 chipset, which is the first deca-core processor in production. While many other smartphones are expected to feature the new chip, ZOPO is the first to launch a device utilizing it.
As for the rest of its specifications, the Speed 8 also features a 5.5-inch full HD 1080p display, a whopping 4GB of RAM which is becoming the industry standard for flagships this year, 32GB of internal storage, dual SIM dual standby support, and 4G LTE connectivity.
The Speed 8 is also equipped with a large 3600mAh battery, a 21-megapixel rear camera with a Sony IMX230 sensor and dual-tone LED flash as well as an 8-megapixel front-facing camera, a round-shaped rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, and a USB Type-C port. It also comes with Android 6.0 Marshmallow pre-installed.
No word yet on the pricing and actual release date of the ZOPO Speed 8 but we should find those things out soon enough.
