A new smartphone from Chinese brand HOMTOM that goes by the name of HOMTOM HT17 has been listed for sale on online store LightInTheBox.Com for a price of $69.99 (461 Yuan).


HOMTOM HT17 runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box and features a 5.5-inch display with HD resolution. It is the first smartphone in the world that is powered by a MediaTek MT6737 quad-core chipset clocking up to 1.3GHz. It comes with 1GB RAM and 8GB of internal storage which supports expandable storage up to 64GB.

HOMTOM HT17 features a 13MP rear camera along with a 5MP camera. It is 4G LTE compatible and houses a fingerprint sensor on the back as well. It comes with USB OTG support in addition to other connectivity features like WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS. A 3000mAh battery is fueling this smartphone and it is available for purchase in Dark Blue, Black and Gold color options.

    Wouldn’t mind picking one up for a rewiew, but don`t see the purpose as a minimum these days is 2GB of RAM.
    Should have just put 10$ on top of that and add the extra RAM.
    Also, I know this will have the same camera as all previous Doogee/HomTom budget devices(which means decent in good lightninig, really poor in low lightning, and horrible flash)

    It is a nice budget phone with Android 6.0. And I was told that Bluboo Maya will come out in June with Android 6.0 too, and even Android N in their plan. I am waiting for it.
