Huawei Reportedly Working On Its Own Mobile OS

In recent years we have seen many Chinese brands launch smartphones with their own customized version of Android. A notable mention includes OnePlus’s OxygenOS, HydrogenOS and then Meizu’s Flyme OS and MIUI by Xiaomi and much more. Now new reports have surfaced which suggest that Huawei is working on its own Mobile OS. The reason to support this claim is that Huawei is preparing for future  in case something goes awry between Huawei and Google.

According to reports that have surfaced, Huawei has been criticised far and wide for the close resemblance of Huawei’s custom skin EMUI to Apple’s iOS.  Now Huawei is working to improve things with EMUI 5.0 and in addition to that, it has hired a former Apple designer to work on its mobile operating system . We have seen Samsung launching phones based on its own Tizen OS and now it is Huawei.

Fearing that Google stops supporting third party devices in future which is kind of a very remote possibility, Huawei is gearing up to launch its own OS. Reports suggest that a team of developers is working on the mobile OS in Scandinavia. Information like when the OS will be ready and how far development has reached is still unknown.
