It is the successor to last year&#8217;s Vibe P1 and is expected to retain the same 5.5&#8221; size. However, it will be an AMOLED display and not an IPS screen.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify">Chinese companies are starting to move away from IPS displays as OLED/AMOLED screens can now be gotten locally.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify">Lenovo has made a couple of other changes to the Vibe P2 such as the use of on-screen buttons instead of capacitive buttons. This means the physical button might only serve as a fingerprint scanner since there&#8217;s already a home button on-screen.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify">The Vibe P2 will also feature 4GB of RAM, a Snapdragon 625 processor clocked at 2.02 GHz, an Adreno 506 GPU, and will ship with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. The all-metal phone is expected to still have a 5000mAh battery but will have a thinner body at 8.5mm.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-91847" src="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/Lenovo-Vibe-P2.jpg?x10805" alt="Lenovo Vibe P2" width="800" height="500" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/Lenovo-Vibe-P2.jpg 800w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/Lenovo-Vibe-P2-300x188.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/Lenovo-Vibe-P2-768x480.jpg 768w" sizes="(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px" /></p>
<h4 style="text-align: justify"></h4>
<h4 style="text-align: justify">No NFC?</h4>
<p style="text-align: justify">If you look closely, there&#8217;s no NFC symbol in this picture of the P2. The <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/2015/09/01/all-metal-lenovo-vibe-p1-to-come-in-two-colors-gold-silver/">Vibe P1</a> and <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/2016/02/11/lenovo-launches-vibe-p1-turbo-with-4900mah-battery/">P1 Turbo</a> both featured NFC with the symbol positioned just below the LED flash.</p>
<p style="text-align: center"><span style="color: #ff0000">READ MORE:</span> <span style="color: #3366ff"><a style="color: #3366ff" href="http://www.gizmochina.com/2016/07/29/geekbench-reveals-4gb-ram-lenovo-vibe-p2/">Lenovo Vibe P2 Shows Up on GeekBench</a></span><span id="more-91846"></span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify">Does this mean the Vibe P2 won&#8217;t be featuring NFC or maybe Lenovo decided not to include the symbol? It will be unwise to remove NFC now that it has gained more popularity since last year, with more banks now supporting Google&#8217;s Android Pay in Europe, Australia, and the United States.</p>
