Being a 5″ HD device, Ulefone Metal has packed a li-polymer battery of 3050mAh that is supposed to last a user around 1.5-days in normal use. Today, Ulefone uploaded a battery comparison test on YouTube against iPhone 6s.
The test consists of a 30-minute playback of online HD videos where Ulefone Metal drained from 75% to 67%, indicating that you can watch online video or play games on the device for 6 consecutive hours. Ulefone believes this test is enough to testify their promise of 1 day heavy use or 1.5 day normal use. On the other hand, iPhone 6s has drained from 60% to 51% in the same test, falling a bit behind the Ulefone device. As always battery capacity isn’t the only parameter that determines the battery life of a device. The iPhone 6S has a small battery of 1,715mAh but has an excellent power management. Hopefully, the Ulefone Metal will too and it will achieve an excellent battery life.
Ulefone Metal is now on presale for $109.99 with a flip case and tempered glass as free gifts. Its specs include MTK6753 8-core 64-bit chipset, 5″ HD display, Sony IMX149 camera sensor and fingerprint scanner. More information on the device can be found on the official product page.
