Last week we saw a mysterious OnePlus phone with model number A3010 has received its 3C certification. The slight change in the number shows that this is a variant of the OnePlus 3 (A3000) and many assumed it may be the OnePlus 3S.
But earlier today, a OnePlus designer was spotted posting on Weibo from a device identified as the OnePlus 3T. According to previous rumors, the OnePlus 3T will probably feature slightly improved internals. Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 SoC is the most probable candidate to power the new device.
Performance isn’t expected to get a big bump. But the new SoC has lower power consumption that will give the new device an improved battery life. The second improvement we expect is on the software side. It should feature Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box. We will soon find out the full specs. The only thing we would choose over OnePlus 3, would be a bigger battery capacity. Also, don’t forget that Carl Pei stated that OnePlus will stick to Optic AMOLED for its future devices.
