Meizu’s Vice-President, Li Nan has confirmed that the soon-to-be released Meizu Pro 6s will feature a Mediatek  processor.

Pro 6s

Mr. Nan said in his Weibo post that the Helio X25 SoC present in the Pro 6 is sufficient for everyday tasks. Earlier rumours had said that the phone was going to sport a Helio P20 chip but the VP’s post seems to be saying otherwise. It has also cleared the air about those who are still hoping for an Exynos phone. The VP did not hide his dislike for Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8xx chips either.

Another important detail mentioned is that the appearance of the Pro 6 and Pro 6s is more or less the same. So if you place both phones side-by-side, it will be difficult to tell the difference.

A 3C certification of the Meizu Pro 6s released a few weeks ago says the device will feature Meizu’s mCharge 3.0 technology which seems to be the only confirmed specification apart from the use of a Mediatek chip.
