Ulefone brought Ulefone Armor to the market about 2 weeks ago with its key selling point being the IP68 certification. For that reason, the company decided to upload a video putting the device through a test to prove itself. Besides, the Armor is one of the most affordable devices with an IP68 rating.
For that reason, they put Ulefone Armor into a big fish tank and let it play videos for half an hour. Thankfully, the waterproofing did its job and the Armor survived the test. All of its functions such as the touch screen, cameras and physical keys stayed intact at the end of the test. Ulefone also showed that the Armor can receive a phone call underwater. The really helpful feature though, is the physical camera key that becomes handy when shooting underwater.
Please note that, before you put Ulefone Armor underwater, all the port flaps must be closed tightly. Also, the company says that because this was an easy test, they will consider taking the device to the sea for a tougher test.
Ulefone Armor is now on presale for $159.99 with a $40 discount from the original price. Its specs include MTK6753 octa-core SoC, 4.7″ HD display, 3GB RAM, 32GB Storage, 13MP camera, NFC, gyroscope and 3500mAh battery.
