Elephone recently announced that they are going to launch the Elephone S7 Limited Edition. This limited edition will be equipped with Deca-core Helio X25 SoC and 4GB RAM plus 64GB of internal storage. The rest remain the same as the standard model. This means a 5.5″ FHD bezel-less display, and the back cover with lumia waves. Moreover, it supports the PE + Quick Charge technology and the price is nearly the same as the Helio X20 version. Also, the limited edition will be available worldwide in short quantities.
While looking forward to the Elephone S7 Limited Edition, let’s see what improvements the X25 brings over the X20. Helio X25 processor is one of the best high-end chips of MTK. The main feature is the tri-cluster, 10-core structure of CPU, which includes two 2.5GHz Cortex-A72 cores, four 2.0GHz Cortex-A53 cores, and four A 1.4GHz Cortex-A53 cores. In terms of GPU, X25 SoC features the ARM Mali T880 MP4 @ 850MHz which performs better than the X20.
The reason why Helio X25 is able to be so popular is due to its tri-cluster 10-core structure, which helps to keep the performance high and reduces the power consumption. Also, the self-developed ISP is perfectly designed for the dual-camera system, which enables better shooting experience.
To help manufacturers build global coverage devices, Mediatek equipped the Helio X25 with many LTE Bands with low power consumption. Global roaming and IMS technology such as VoLTE, ViLTE, WiFi Calling, RCS and so on are also available. In addition, you can interchange 4G network between 2 sim cards freely.
Lastly, Elephone S7 Limited Edition features MiraVision technology, taking the display performance to a higher level. For further information, consult the official Elephone page here.
