After a few weeks of news and leaks, Ulefone has finally published their first dual-camera product -Ulefone Gemini- on their official website. The company claims that it will be the most affordable high-end product you will find on the market.
Ulefone Gemini’s dual back camera system includes a 13MP primary camera and a 5MP sub camera to control the depth of focus for Bokeh effect. The front camera has a resolution of 8MP (via interpolation), while beautification tools are present for better selfies.
Ulefone Gemini adopts known components such as MTK6737T 1.5GHz SoC, 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Also, there is a 5.5″ FHD display, a 3250mAh Sony battery and gyro sensor. All the components lay inside a metal unibody casing produced with CNC machining from a block of magnesium-aluminum alloy. The edges are chamfered for a more premium look.
Of course, a premium device must feature a fingerprint scanner. In this case, it lies under the home button. It offers multiple functions such as call answer, camera shutter, screenshot, besides screen and app lock. The navigation buttons are on-screen while the fingerprint scanner can also act as a back button. Running on stock Android 6.0, Ulefone Gemini will receive an upgrade to Nougat in a few months.
The Gemini will hit the market in three versions: Black, Silver and Gold. For now, you may win one by joining the giveaway on the Ulefone site. Also, by registering with your email, you will get a $70 coupon to buy the device before the presale comes after the Chinese Spring Festival.
