It’s only been a few months since Huawei released the Honor 8 in the US and it looks like the company is planning on launching a Lite version of the device with a planned unveiling during the 2017 Mobile World Congress later this month and a release date sometime in March, according to a leak released today.
According to the leak, the Huawei Honor 8 Lite will be priced at around 280 Euro and will be available in Blue, Black, Gold, and White models. Along with the leak information, images of the device were also leaked showing the Honor 8 Lite in a protective case with a fold-out cover. Looking at the images, the Honor 8 Lite looks very much like Huawei’s P8 Lite (2017).
In line with its Lite title, the Honor 8 Lite will feature slightly lower specifications that its big brother, the original Honor 8. Instead of a dual camera setup and a USB Type-C port, the Honor 8 Lite will come with a single rear camera as well as a micro USB port. Not much else is known about the rest of the Honor 8 Lite’s specifications but it’s expected to come with Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box like the P8 Lite.
We’ll just have to wait until more information on the new device comes out or until the 2017 Mobile World Congress starts to find out the rest of the Honor 8 Lite’s specs, availability, and price.
