The 2017 Mobile World Congress is only a few weeks away and Lenovo is one of the companies that are set to unveil several new products at the event. One of the devices the company is expected to show off at MWC is the Lenovo Tab3 8 Plus, the upgraded variant of Lenovo’s budget tablet that it released last year. And today, press renders as well as full details on the device’s specifications have been leaked online. We previously reported that the Tab3 8 Plus was spotted on the GeekBench database sporting a Snapdragon 625 processor and the leaked today has undoubtedly confirmed it as well as the rest of the device’s specifications.
According to this latest leak and aside from the aforementioned processor, the Tab3 8 Plus will sport 3GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage (which can be expanded to up to 128GB via microSD card), and a whopping 4,250mAh battery. It also features an 8-inch WUXGA (1920 x 1200 pixels) resolution display, Dolby Atmos stereo speakers, an 8-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, and IP52 certification for dust and water resistance. The Tab3 8 Plus will also come with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow installed out of the box.
Lastly, the Lenovo Tab3 8 Plus will launch with two variations – a Wi-Fi only variant and a 4G LTE variant. The leak did not mention anything regarding price of availability of the new tablet so we’ll have to wait for Lenovo to make its official announcement at Mobile World Congress to find out the rest of the new tablet’s details.
