Rumors of a ZTE smartwatch running Android Wear 2.0 have been circulating the internet for a while now ever since it was spotted passing through the FCC certification system last month. And today, it looks like the company’s first Android Wear smartwatch, the Quartz, has finally been confirmed as leaks of the device have been leaked online.
The ZTE Quartz (model number ZW10) features a metallic design with a noticeably thick body and face with tick marks circling it. There’s also a small button on the side and the device will charge via its 4-pin connector which can be docked on an included plastic cradle.
According to the leak, the Quartz will not come with LTE, NFC, or a heart rate monitor, but will feature 3G connectivity and will run on Android Wear 2.0 atop Nougat 7.1.1. No release date or pricing has been leaked and it’s not certain whether the device in the images is the final product or a prototype.
We’ll just have to wait for the device’s official announcement and launch which should come quite soon.
